Labor Day Weekend

Well the last weekend before preschool starts and summer comes to an end has come and gone. The kids and I were lucky to be able to go to my mom and dads in Sargents Co with Auntie Janet. It was a great weekend, we spent the weekend relaxing. Saturday we set out for a picnic lunch in the woods, and had to finish eating our lunch in the bronco because of lighting, then we finished up our drive up Marshall Pass and Chance and Kay had a blast eating and picking raspberries. We went to a Folk Dance Saturday night, it was comical, but fun. Sunday we went up to Razor Creek Park and got to do some fishing. Chance caught the biggest fish, about 6 or 7 inches, we were just fishing for Brooke's, so actually it was quite big. Then we built a camp fire and cooked the fish we caught, and fried taters, there is just something about food being cooked on a camp fire. Can't beat it. Grandma had all the stuff to make s'mores, and roasted marshmallows OOOOOOOO SOOOOOO GOOD!!! Chance and Kay had a nature scavenger hunt, and we ended the day fishing a little bit at Needle Creek Reservoir , but didn't catch anything. IT was a great day being outside in the mountain air. Monday we had to make our venture back home. The traffic on 285 was a nightmare, what should have taken 3 hours to get to Denver took 4, but once we got further east we got out of a lot of traffic, and got home at 10:30 Pm. It was a wonderful weekend to get away. Now we will start September off on a good foot, and get ready for Preschool and Fall!!!
