Thursday Afternoon

After we got back from the Hoover Damn Tour, we headed to the south end of the strip to see the sites. We rode the monorail from Imperial Palace to the MGM. The MGM casino was the best smelling place there. I know that might sound funny, but most of the places had a smokey smell to them. The MGM is very classy. After leaving there we headed to NY NY to ride the roller coaster. Inside NY NY is Little Italy, it has the cobble streets and a lot of stores. It was pretty cool. Just like being down town New York.
Check out those paws!!!

Inside MGM, this was right in the middle of a restaurant.

We all wanted to ride a roller coaster while we were there, so we headed to New York New York to try out that coaster...What a ride..It was great, fast and crazy. It was so much fun, Clay and I did it twice. We did get a picture from the ride, but I will have to scan it to put it on the computer, and I will do that soon.
A great picture of Lady Liberty

Thursday Night

We had the most relaxing evening Thursday. We sat infront of Paris Casino, and watched the people, and talked. Where we were sitting was across the street from the Bellagio, and the fountains. It was cool to sit under the Eiffel Tower, and just relax. I hope you enjoy the pictures from Thursday night, some of the one that are a little blurry are because we were on the move.

This mini Eiffel Tower is what I drank out of all night!!

The most beautiful thing I have ever seen. The fountains at the Bellagio

Inside Caesars Palace
I wasn't sure if I was going to put this picture on here, but I have to have one good laugh.

Friday in Vegas

We went to the NASCAR Cafe on Friday morning. There was a lot going on there, since it was NASCAR weekend in Vegas. Clay and Janet raced NASCAR's and Nick and I sat and drank a bucket of beer. The NASCAR cafe is located inside the Sahara Casino, and that is on the North side of the strip, they have a monorail that we were able to take from Imperial Palace to there. Thank goodness for that, cuz that would have been a really long walk. We didn't go into the Stratosphere, cuz we were trying to figure out how we were going to get out to LVMS, and spent most of our time waiting for a cab, which cost us $37.50 to get out there. But the bus ride back was even more than that. For all 4 of us to ride back it was $80, and there was no getting around that..But Friday turned out to be a great day, and a wonderful experience

Friday Qualifying at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

It was fun being out at Las Vegas Motor Speedway for qualifying. We had a great time, and got to see alot of cars. The ride back to the strip was not anything any of us really wanted to do, but we really didn't have a choice. We were cramed in a bus with about 100 other people and had to stand 15 miles back into town...Watching the race on TV on Sunday, I sat here thinking how crazy it was to think we were there!!!

Friday Night In Vegas

After we got back from qualifying out at Las Vegas motor speedway, we went Downtown to Freemont Street..I have a video from the light show downtown, but it will not load on the blog. But Freemont Street is busy!! I actually think it is busier than the strip. We were going to eat at a buffet down there, but the wait was about 2 hours, so we found another resterant to eat at, and still had to wait 2 hours, but the big kicker was, it was 8:30 when we got downtown, and we hadn't eaten since before we went out to LVMS, so we were all a little grouchy!!! And the wait for dinner combined with the really drunk people didn't really help much. But we did get seated by 10:20, and the steak and lobster was really good. Next time I go, I just don't think I will go downtown. I wish I had pictures from downtown, but all I had was the video, so I will try to work on getting that video loaded.!!

Another Win for Carl

Yesterday Carl Edwards won the Las Vegas NASCAR race again. Another one for Lisa!!! This time Jr was 2nd. Good race, and it is still hard to believe we were there to watch qualifying.
